In a hidden land, far beyond our sight,
A forgotten princess lived in flight,
Raised by dragons in a forgotten plight,
Her story whispered in the dark of night.
No prince came to claim her hand,
No kingdom offered her a land,
No subjects bowed at her command,
In solitude, she learned to stand.
But dragons were her faithful friends,
They guarded her until the end,
And though her fate refused to bend,
She loved them, and they loved her in return, without pretends.
Her heart ached for the world outside,
The beauty of which she could only abide,
In her dreams, she would softly glide,
To a world where she wasn't left to hide.
Yet, the dragons raised her strong and tall,
In their wisdom, she learned it all,
And when her time came to heed the call,
She flew away, without a single fall.
And though she was alone no more,
Her heart still felt an unknown core,
For dragons were her family, her lore,
And they had taught her to soar.
