Made for parts that fit together
Sketch and extrude
Draw rectangles, circles and curved pen paths on a flat sketch view, then pull them into solid parts.
Hinges and snap-fits
Drop in pin hinges, living hinges, snap hooks and catches, flexure slides and dovetails. Flexing parts are sized for your material.
Fit tolerances built in
Pick Press, Snug, Slide or Loose per joint, and get a warning when parts are too tight or overlap.
Gears
Spur, helical, herringbone, internal and rack gears, with a mate tool that meshes two gears for you.
Slice, combine, shell
Cut parts apart with pegs and sockets, join bodies, or hollow them out.
Materials
Presets for PLA, PETG and TPU so flex and clearance suggestions match what you print with.
Made for touch
Built for Apple Pencil and fingers, with undo and redo, a view cube, and a left-handed layout.
Export to your slicer
Export 3MF (keeps parts separate) or STL (one merged mesh) for PrusaSlicer and other slicers.
How to use it
- Open the appGo to snapfit3d.vercel.app. On iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen to use it like an app.
- Pick a plane and sketchChoose Rectangle, Circle or Pen. Drag to draw, or tap and type exact sizes. Press OK when the sketch looks right.
- ExtrudeSet a height and confirm to turn the sketch into a solid part. Use Shapes for ready-made rings, spirals and more.
- Add a jointOpen Mechanisms and choose a hinge, snap hook, catch, flexure or dovetail. Place it where two parts meet.
- Set the fitUse the Fit tool to choose Press, Snug, Slide or Loose, and set your material in Print settings. Then run Fit check (the tick icon) to find overlaps and tight gaps.
- Check overhangsTurn on the overhang view (triangle icon) to see areas that may need support or a different orientation.
- Export and printTap Export and choose 3MF or STL, open it in your slicer, and print a small test piece first.

Tips for good prints
Print a test first
Printers differ. Print a small joint sample and adjust the Fit setting before printing the full part.
Mind the orientation
Flexing arms and living hinges are strongest when layers run along the bend, not across it.
Use the right material
PLA is stiff and can crack when flexed repeatedly. PETG and TPU tolerate flexing better.

Frequently asked
Does it cost anything?
You can open and use Snapfit3D in your browser with no account. Pricing or terms may change in the future.
Where are my designs stored?
Automatically in your browser on the device you are using. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching devices can lose them. Export to 3MF or STL to keep a copy.
Which slicers does it work with?
Exports are designed for PrusaSlicer, and the standard 3MF and STL formats open in most other slicers.
Does it work offline?
After the first load it can be added to your home screen and is built as an installable web app. Offline behavior can vary by browser and device.
Something looks wrong or won't export.
Try undoing the last step, then run Fit check. If a part stays broken, export what you have, refresh the page and tell us what you did so we can fix it.
